Reference Maps

This map highlights a projection created by Athelstan Spilhaus which distorts the continents to focus on the interconnectedness of the Earth’s oceans. The Spilhaus projection on ArcGIS Pro cuts off some regions near the borders which forced me to manipulate the projection during the Layout process. In the Layout view, I placed one projection in the center, and copies of the projection on the top, bottom, left, and right. Some of the copies were rotated by 90 degrees so the continents and oceans would appear seamless. To finalize the Layout, I added a white vignette overlay image to hide the other four projections.

This reference map highlights the Buckman neighborhood in Portland, Oregon. Annotated Labels was used to arrange the street names in an orderly fashion.

This reference map details the districts for the Oregon Department of Transportation. Each district is assigned a number which corresponds to the name of the District Manager.
